General surgery is a discipline that requires knowledge of and familiarity with a broad spectrum of diseases that may require surgical treatment. By necessity, the breadth and depth of this knowledge will vary by disease category.

 

At The Limi Hospital,  our General Surgery team comprises of specialists who are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of surgical conditions affecting almost any area of the body. The team establishes the diagnosis and provides the preoperative, operative, and postoperative care to patients and is often responsible for the comprehensive management of the trauma victim and the critically ill patient.

 

Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedics is the branch of medicine concerned with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, which comprises the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves.

 

You may be referred to an Orthopaedic Consultant for treatment of an injury such as a bone fracture, a deformity of the spine or limbs, or a long-term condition that has developed over many years, such as arthritis.

 

At The Limi Hospital, our Orthopaedic specialists treat patients of all ages – from newborns and children with deformities such as club foot or scoliosis, to young athletes needing arthroscopic surgery, to older people with joint problems. Urology:

The diseases that affect the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive system are managed and treated by our Urologist. Urology treatment range and therapeutic management could be used in any of the following areas:

• Pediatric Urology

• Male Infertility

• Female Urology (urinary incontinence)

 

Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)

Otorhinolaryngology is medical terminology for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat and the head and neck area.

 

The Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic at The Limi Hospital is situated on the First Floor. It offers services for both adults and children.

 

The clinic times are Tuesdays and Fridays from 4.30 pm. Please be aware that there are certain radiological and audiological tests and endoscopic examinations that may be carried out at the time of the consultation. Our ENT Clinic is set up with an is fully equiped with facilities needed to offer a safe and quality service for both adults and children in clinic, as day cases and inpatient surgery.
